Brad Loomis Named New Head Football Coach

Join us in welcoming Brad Loomis as Lutheran South's new Head Football Coach. A former assistant coach and player at Washington University, Coach Loomis will use his college coaching experience to help Lancers play at the next level.

Coach Loomis was a defensive coordinator at Lutheran South in 2011 and has also been an assistant coach at Oakville High School. As an outside linebacker in college, Loomis won Wash U's MVP award as the top defensive player. He led the team in tackles as a junior and ranked second as a senior. He helped the Bears' defense finish first in the nation in total defense in 1999 and third in 2000. As a high school player and team captain, he led his team to a 28-0 record and back-to-back state championships during his junior and senior seasons.

Originally from Oregon, Loomis has coached the University Athletic Association's Defensive MVP, the Suburban West High School Defensive Player of the Year, and dozens of All-Conference players. He has led football camps at Wash U, where he was a running backs/special teams coach and a linebackers coach over a nine-year period. He, his wife, and 5-year-old twins live in Oakville.
Welcome, Coach Loomis!
