Lutheran High School South

Home of the Lancers

In addition to an excellent academic program, Lutheran South also has a great tradition in athletics. Our students have an opportunity to excel in a wide variety of sports. During the school year we field more than 40 teams in 16 different sports. Our teams play in more than 400 contests during the year. We promote the values of participation, sportsmanship, teamwork and personal excellence in our student athletes.

Our Competition

Our Lancer teams are members of the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) and are governed by its constitution and by-laws.

Lutheran South is a member of the Metro Athletic League, which includes the girls' and boys' teams. The Metro Athletic League includes Lutheran North, John Burroughs, Westminster, Principia, MICDS, Priory and Villa Duchesne. In addition to league play, our student-athletes and teams compete against other St. Louis metro area private and public schools, and have opportunities to participate in both conference and state postseason competition.

Our Athletes

In our small-school environment, students are supported by their coaches and teammates as they develop skills and excel. Our top athletes often earn college athletic scholarships and are highly sought after because of their grades and test scores.

Lancer teams have won numerous championships over the years at the Conference, District, and State levels.
