Join the Choral Experience!

The LHSS choral department consists of three choirs of increasing skill and is open to all students interested in a choral experience. Through four major concert performances and participation in local worship services, students learn the full range of vocal and aural skills needed to become well-rounded singers.

  • Mixed Chorus: entry level choir, no audition required
  • Concert Choir: large group choir, audition required
  • Lancer Singers: select group of advanced singers, audition required

Students are also offered the opportunity to participate in special activities for personal enrichment. Singers participate annually in MSSHA-sponsored District solo/ensemble event, and subsequent entries in the State Solo/Ensemble contest. Advanced singers are also encouraged to participate in the Missouri Music Educators Association District Choir and All-State Choir audition process. The Concert Choir and Lancer Singers tour annually.
