The Lancers improved to 20-2-1 by winning the Northwest Invitational at Legacy VTC in Fenton, and Dicken played a leading role. A 6-foot-1 junior outside hitter, Dicken had 37 kills in five two-set victories as South improved to 15-1-1 in its last 17 matches. He also had 19 digs, three solo blocks, three service aces and committed only two serve reception errors on 37 attempts. Dicken had nine kills in a win over Saxony Lutheran in the title match. A three-year varsity player, Dicken has 221 kills this season and an average of 3.8 per set that ranks among area leaders. He also is a 93 percent server and has 29 service aces. In three seasons, he has 833 kills.
