A 5-foot-7 senior guard, two-year starter and four-year varsity player, Hoehner had a game for the ages while helping the Lancers hit the 20-win plateau for the second time in three seasons. In a 73-38 Metro League victory against Westminster, Hoehner scored a career-high 34 points by sinking 11 3-pointers on 17 attempts, along with one free throw. Hoehner’s performance beyond the arc was the second-best for a St. Louis area girls player this century behind only Civic Memorial’s Olivia Durbin, who had 12 on Nov. 20, 2021. Hoehner also had 10 points in a 53-42 win over Webster Groves. For the season, Hoehner has 60 3-pointers and averages 10.5 points per game. She was an all-tournament pick in Lutheran South’s event in January. Also a tennis player, she was a second team all-Metro League selection in the fall and was a doubles and team state qualifier as a junior.
