Anna Huebner ('19), Named a Recipient of a 2019 Chick Evans Scholarship

Congratulations to Anna Huebner ('19), as she was recently named a recipient of a 2019 Chick Evans Scholarship.  Only 275 golf caddies will earn the Evans Scholarship this year, which awards the full cost of college tuition and housing for all four year to one of 18 universities across the nation. To be an Evans Scholar, one must have successfully caddied for at least two years, show excellent character, have a financial need, and demonstrate outstanding academics. After meeting all requirements, candidates who are selected to be a finalist go through a personal interview at one of the country clubs in the St. Louis area.

In response to her award, Anna said, "This was the greatest accomplishment I have yet to achieve and it’s an honor to be named an Evans Scholar.  I am looking forward to attending Mizzou and living with other Evans Scholars for four years. There is still a high expectation to succeed once named an Evans Scholar, and I feel that Lutheran South prepared me for that expectation.  I am the first student in Lutheran South’s history to receive this scholarship and I am grateful to God for the opportunity to be a caddie."

We are very proud of you, Anna!
